About Me

Hi and welcome to my blog! My name is October. I am blessed to live within 5 miles of Walt Disney World with my husband and our 2 dogs. I love living in Central Florida. I love the sunshine, palm trees, gorgeous blue skies and area attractions. I enjoy digital scrapbooking. Sometimes I dabble in photography, but am far too thrifty to invest in a fancy camera. Food is awesome. Although I am definitely not a "foodie" in the classic use of the term, I also can be described as particular about what I will, and won't eat! Chocolate is an addiction. As is pizza.

In case you are at all curious, a little about myself. I grew up in an Assemblies of God minister's home. My dad and "baby" brother are both actively involved in full-time ministry. Although I have a degree in Bible from a Bible College, I am not. Over the years, I have become more and more disenfranchised with organized religion as we know it. I can't help but believe that there is supposed to be MORE to being a follower of Christ. Many may find my views unconventional. Trust me, I've gotten myself in trouble plenty of times over the years. But, our Savior, Jesus, did as well. So I guess I'm following in good footsteps.

Please join me on this journey that will sometimes include a brutal look into my personal journey following Christ. I don't claim to have all the answers. I know that I have a long ways to go. Comment and ask questions. I'll do my best to answer. And when I don't have the answers, I'll do my best to find them. And if I don't know, well, I'll be honest and tell you. Maybe we can learn together.
